Rugs as part of decor

Rug is an additional decorative component of house. You can make a room colorful and homey with rugs. And you can improve your house just with changing the rugs. It is easy and needs less money.  

Before you place a rug in any room, you should consider many factors. First, what kind of style of room you want to have. There are many patterns of rugs for that. For children room we can choose rugs with funny characters. To give an ethnic ambience we can choose oriental rugs or Persian rugs, Native Americans or European rugs. To give masculine touch you can place rugs with masculine motives like simple line or cubes. There are many possibilities depends on your imagination.

Second, color plays very important role in setting the style and mood of a room. You can choose the color of your room from one dominant of your rug. Or in the opposite, you can choose rug color according to color of the room or even the furniture in the room. So there is a harmony between the rug and everything in that room.

Due to their materials, rugs can give the warmth and charm of the room. When we walk in the room that its floor surfaces is hard like tile or hardwood, sometimes it makes sounds annoying. Rugs can help to reduce the noise,

For small area, it’s better if we place some small rugs. And in dining rooms, kitchens and living rooms we can place larger size. So, size does matter.  J

In the market, there are many shapes of rugs. Most rugs are rectangular, but we can find oval, round or runner. Now, again it’s your imagination, where to put the rugs. People choose a round shape rug to be the focal point of a room. Like hallway or living room.
